Use this to ...

  • Create sheet metal parts from existing solid geometry.
  • Convert old sheet metal parts for use in the Generative Sheet Metal Design workbench.

Key Points

  • Solids must have a constant thickness.
  • All radii in the solids need to maintain constant thickness.

Prerequisites

  • You must be in the Generative Sheetmetal Design workbench.
  • You must have an existing solid model.
    Or
You must have a previously created sheet metal part for conversion.

Process: Create Sheet Metal Parts from Existing Solid Geometry

1. Make sure you are in the Generative Sheetmetal Design workbench.

2. clip_image004  Click Sheet Metal Parameters. Define any necessary options in the Sheet Metal Parameters dialog.
