Options - Rolled Wall

First Limit and Second Limit

With the exception of Type, Limit, and Length, separate values cannot be set.

Type
Use Dimension to enter a dimension. Notice the Limit option isn't available when Type is set to Dimension.

Use Up to Plane or Up to Surface and pick a plane or surface to define the ends. If you use either one, the Limit1 text in the graphic window disappears.


Limit
This option is available when using Up to Plane or Up to Surface. Pick a plane when using Up to Surface.

Length 1
Enter the location of Limit1 or drag the text in the Graphics window to the desired length/position. The value is positive by default. This option is not available when using Up to Plane or Up to Surface.

Profile

Select the sketch for the rolled wall. It must be either a closed circle or circular arc.

Selection
Shows the profile selected.

Mirrored Extent
Extends the rolled wall in both directions from the sketch. If this option is active, you can only modify Limit1.

Symmetrical Thickness
Creates thickness both inside and outside the sketch when active.

Invert Material Side
Inverts the direction in which material is created. This option is not available if Symmetrical Thickness is active.

Unfold Reference

CATIA creates two symmetrical faces so you can unfold the rolled wall.


Sketch Location
Defines the point on the sketch, Start Point, End Point, or Middle Point, from which the sketch will unfold.

Preview

Click this option to preview the rolled wall. This displays the sketch radius, which can be interactively modified, and both limits, which you can drag to new positions/values. Click Preview again to update the image.

Tips

  • The Rolled Walls option differs from the Extrusions option in that you can have a closed sketch but you cannot include lines.
